Position Open Within Core Footprint: Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota

Under limited supervision, provide leadership and direction to the Product Owner teams as needed as they implement business teams requirements, manage their backlogs, invest in functional vs. technical changes, and support team through product releases and implementations. This position plays a critical role in shaping their teams who are providing solutions to support product road maps as well as identify proactive solutions. Beyond managing systems, this role is about driving impact - optimizing processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring our enterprise applications employer business users to drive process and decisions.

Working in a fast-paced environment, this role leads multiple teams to meet the highest standards in delivery. You will be responsible for building and leading high performing product and engineering teams, advocating and enabling a product-focused approach to solution delivery and support. It has significant leadership and influence on the evolution of our technical architecture, product development, and future strategic growth. Responsible for defining and delivering a consistent, intuitive and high-quality experience for internal partners across all interaction points. All while ensuring adherence to security and compliance regulations, project methodology guidelines, lifecycle management and technology.

What you will do:

  • Technical Leadership. Understand the details of technical problems and work with teams to provide solutions. Assist and advise the Technical Product Owners and their teams on key decisions.
  • Strategic Leadership: Accountable for planning of staff resources, prioritization, and providing recommendations for one year and multi-year strategic planning to the business lines. Work with leaders to manage the portfolio of work. This includes oversight of projects, project methodology, resource planning and capacity, and work planning for product backlog while maintaining the systems daily operating expectations. It also includes partnering with the IT Resource Manager on individual contributor capacity and resource planning.
  • Business Partnership: Work with the Technical Product Owners to execute the product road map to meet strategic goals. Work across product teams to plan the objectives for the teams. Represent the business lines within corporate IT and other strategic planning/project management meetings.
  • Client Experience: Ensure Associated Bank systems and various third-party applications, environments or vendors create a positive customer experience and provide a competitive advantage for our business owners.
  • Team Building & Development: Carry out manager responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Mentor Technical Product Owners, help to create synergies across teams and ensure the execution of product initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Ensure all compliance, regulatory & risk management requirements are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure the success of product initiatives and drive continuous improvement

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with the field of study as Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Technology Leadership, focus on communication, interpersonal, ethical and legal knowledge, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • 7+ years of experience in Business acumen with the ability to quickly grasp the business and economic issues of a situation and identify the best solution.
  • 12+ years of experience in information technology management with a focus on managing an IT team of architects, business analysts, and business solution managers.
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology with software/application development and product ownership.

Preferred:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner
  • 7+ years of experience being comfortable working in a diverse environment with the ability to deal with ambiguity while adapting easily to rapidly changing business conditions.
  • 7-10 years of experience in managing enterprise application in one or more of the following: Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Signature, Onbase, etc.
