You'll work with nail plates and wood components, assembling them on a table to be pressed. This opportunity is a great way to start your career and grow with us! What You'll Do:
- Work Area Setup:Complete work area setup to ensure everything is ready for the assembly process.
- Truss Assembly:Assemble trusses by fitting nail plates and wood components together on a table.
- Tool Operation:Operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
- Product Stacking:Stack completed products according to established procedures, and if required, cover, label, and band components.
- Safety and Cleanliness:Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
- Equipment Inspection:Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklists and report any problems or concerns.
- Production Paperwork:Maintain production records as required.
- Quality Checks:Check materials and finished products to ensure they meet standards.
- Safety and Quality Procedures:Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
- Participation:Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs and meetings.
- Additional Duties:Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
- 6 months of manufacturing and or assembling experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic math is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
