Position Title: Production Supervisor, Material Handling Location: Onsite. Romulus, MI. * Must be willing to Work ALL shifts as required.* Qualifications: High School diploma required. 1+ years of previous supervision experience. Knowledge or ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM). Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently. Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Goal oriented individual. Have Continuous Improvement mind set. Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees. Position Description: Supervisor is expected to work closely with Superintendent and Plant Manager. Responsible for supervising all operations: Inbound, outbound, and claims processing. Responsible for delivering objectives including but not limited to: Cover crews in supervisor's absence, Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings, Prepare/maintain work related records as needed, Schedule workforce (including overtime and vacation). Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best in class performance. Schedule: Current operational hours are from 6:00 AM until 1:30 AM. Some weekends might be required. Must have the ability to work overtime/adjust schedule as required, as the business dictates.
