Haskell has an opening for a Field Technical Training Intern focused on the design and construction industry for Summer 2025. You will assist our multi-disciplined project team(s) with assigned tasks and will have many opportunities to grow and develop, both professionally and personally, throughout the Summer. You will participate in training programs and receive training in company management tools, standards, policies & procedures, during the assignment. Additionally, there are fantastic opportunities to network with other interns across the enterprise during scheduled workshops, events and group projects focused on our culture and values.

This internship offers the opportunity to travel and meet with various teams/offices associated with Haskell. We are looking to standardize our processes and approach to Technical Training across our Field Teams.

You have the opportunity to help with:

    Creating content that enhances retention and knowledge-to-skill transfer on the construction jobsites for our field leadership and Permanent Craft Employee (PCE) team members.
  • Training developed will be delivered in multiple methods utilizing both onsite SME delivery and facilitation through our Learning Management System (LMS).

Job Exposure:

  • Coordinate the development of technical training materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercise materials and procedures, and development of supporting training aids.
  • Facilitate the development of technical training program materials using the ADDIE model, while engaging Subject Matter Experts (SME) in this design, development, and implementation.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
  • Provide exercises and activities (performance assessment tools) that enhance the learning process and certify mastery of job-specific competencies.
  • Create supporting material and media (audio, video, simulations, gamification).
  • Visualize instructional graphics, user interface, and the finished product.
  • Develop evaluation tools that review processes at critical junctures in the ADDIE model to ensure objective, Key Performance Indicator, and assessment alignment of curriculum/material.

Education/Experience:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in instructional design, education and aspiration to be in an Instructional Designer role
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word and Power Point presentation development.
  • Experience with Instructional Design development software to include (but not limited to) CAMTASIA, Adobe Captivate, and LMS Authoring tools and related software.
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
