As part of Detection and Measurement, Radiodetection is a global leader in the design and development of equipment and software used by utility companies to install, protect, and maintain underground infrastructure networks. Through precision and magnetic locators and ground penetrating radar, we help prevent damage to infrastructure utilities and protect lives.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Inside Sales Support Specialist, you will focus on supporting both our sales and customer service operations by helping with quote generation, order processing, credit card payments, and offering support to outside sales personnel, while providing exceptional service via phone and email and working cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Customer Support and Order Processing:
    • Assist customers with product inquiries and generate accurate quotes based on their needs.
    • Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Follow up with customers to ensure orders are processed and delivered as expected.
    • Provide exceptional customer support via phone and email, addressing inquiries, issues, and concerns.
    • Resolve customer problems in a timely, professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  1. Sales and Communication Support:
    • Assist Account Managers and outside sales representatives by preparing quotes and orders.
    • Provide information on product availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
    • Coordinate with the warehouse, shipping, and billing teams to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
    • Communicate effectively with other internal departments to address customer needs and resolve issues.
  1. Customer Experience and Administrative Tasks:
    • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and increase customer satisfaction.
    • Suggest improvements to internal processes that would lead to more efficient operations and better service delivery.
    • Act as a liaison between customers and the company to ensure all customer concerns are heard and resolved promptly.
    • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the sales and customer service departments.

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for customer service.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with order processing, quoting, and payment processing.
  • Experience with Salesforce and SAP software.

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diplmoa or equivalent
  • Associates degree preferred
