Shop Custodian/General Maintenance

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Shop Custodian. This position plays a key role in keeping our shop clean, safe, and organized for our technicians and staff. If you take pride in keeping things in order and enjoy hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of priority)

• Perform routine cleaning of shop floors, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the shop and office areas
• Sweep, mop, and pressure wash shop floors as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment areas
• Conduct light building maintenance (e.g., replacing light bulbs, minor repairs)
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisor when items need restocking
• Assist with snow removal or lawn care as needed, depending on the season
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
• Perform other custodial and support tasks as assigned
• Maintain regular on-site attendance

Work Environment:

• Exposure to shop noise, fumes, dust, and mechanical equipment
• Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions (hot or cold weather)
• Physical work with frequent movement, lifting, and cleaning tasks

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Occasional climbing on ladders or working at heights

Qualifications:

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Reliable and punctual with good communication skills
