Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our Subcontracts Center of Excellence (COE) in Reston, Virginia. In this role, the Contracts Administrator will be integral in managing various contract types and ensuring compliance with Government and Defense Industry contracting requirements. This individual will be responsible for cradle to grave administration of subcontracts issued to Peraton from other prime contractors and may include contracts issued by the Government. This position will provide direct support to project teams, guiding them through contract management and process optimization. The Contracts Administrator would be responsible for:
Oversee a diverse portfolio of subcontracts with varying complexities, ensuring proper monitoring contract compliance, invoices and budgets to prevent cost overruns.
- Ensure all projects adhere to government contracting regulations, helping to navigate compliance requirements.
- Work closely with Project Managers to offer guidance on contractual obligations and provide solutions to challenges that arise.
- Take charge of the start-up and close-out process for all assigned contracts, ensuring smooth transitions and successful project completions.
- Aid in preparing cost proposals and developing narratives for project bids and new initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, ensuring smooth collaboration and quick resolution of issues.
- Negotiate and draft a variety of contracts, including Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and other business agreements.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment, working closely with teams across different departments to solve complex challenges and implement creative solutions.
- Contribute to departmental and divisional goals by promoting sound business principles and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and processes.
- Utilize strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelors' Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- 9+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working proposal responses to Request for Proposal (RFP), participating in RFP and proposal review meetings, contract pre-award meetings, conducting negotiations, and drafting/finalization of contract.
- Experience managing Government Subcontracts with other Government Contractors under FAR, DFAR, and other agency supplements.
- Experience preparing, maintaining, retrieving, and communicating records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate and Contract Management requirements.
- Experience performing closeout of contracts, finalizing outstanding contract issues, issuing final modifications & invoices, and coordinating completion of contractor performance evaluations.
- Experience interfacing with all levels of the project team (includes representing and interfacing with all levels of internal and/or external management and corporate organization person's documents.
- Experience reviewing, editing, and negotiating various types of Agreements to include: Teaming and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Security Clearance is NOT required.
- Position is 100% in-person, will be located in Reston, VA.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
- Proficient working within a Contract Lifecycle Management tool such as GovWin or UNISOM
- Self-starter and independent worker with good organizational and computer skills
- Deltek experience is a plus
- Knowledge of contract types and terms
- Understand and implement policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
