POSITION SUMMARY

The DSV Manager (WMS) Applications and Integrations Engineering (AIE Manager) provides leadership and guidance to team members on the AIE team. The team is ultimately responsible for successful Implementation, Integration, Migration, and Optimization of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other Software's used in DSV Solutions Warehouses. The AIE Manager provides leadership to a multidiscipline project team to deliver functional, technical, and business process expertise while ensuring high quality, on-time, and on-budget deliverables.

Activities will be based out of DSV Solutions site in Lancaster, Texas (Dallas), Aurora, Illinois (Chicago) or Lawrenceville, Georgia (Atlanta).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage and supervise assigned team.
  • Assist Project Managers in managing projects by securing on-time deliveries and assigning resources for the project.
  • Drives accountability within assigned team.
  • Provides direction and leadership to team members.
  • Analyze and document client and business requirements.
  • Design, configure, test, and implement WMS processes.
  • Develop Business Requirements & Functional Solutions Documents, based on business requirements for applications changes and improvements.
  • Document implemented Solutions by creating Blueprints etc.
  • Provide process optimization and improvement proposals based on business requirements.
  • Create functional designs for internal and external reports and documents.
  • Create functional specifications for EDI integrations in cooperation with external parties and DSV Global IT.
  • Keeps track and where needed escalates for on time delivery on deliverables requested from DSV Global IT.
  • Gatekeeper for warehouse process standardization.
  • Provide regular scheduled project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex issues and client cases and provide sensible generic solutions.
  • Train key- and end-users on designed processes and functionalities.
  • Advocate and sell best practices and standardization to internal (and external) parties.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and anticipate customer needs for specific projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by management to support special projects, implementations, process improvements, etc.



OTHER DUTIES




  • Works closely with business leaders and sales leaders to develop and implement best practice IT solutions across functions or across regions.
  • Designs IT solutions and improves existing solutions to fulfill client requirements.
  • Makes presentations to clients on projects.
  • Analyzes and documents client and business requirements.
  • Provides support to sales team on RFPs/RFQs (includes international accounts)
  • Translates client requirements into IT solutions ensuring they are consistent with business requirements.
  • Coordinates between the business and development organizations at the project level
  • Provides regularly scheduled project updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with the sales organization and clients to understand and anticipate customer needs for specific projects.
  • Adept at determining requirements by interviewing client personnel, reviewing documentation and facilitating working sessions.
  • Skilled at creating business process models based on the requirements.
  • Capable of recording and re-designing operational processes
  • Able to present solutions defined above to senior management.
  • Knowledgeable about the INFOR SCE WMS, functional IT, tools, templates and method and able to setup the system to meet the desired business process and requirements.
  • Adept at working with clients to develop testing scenarios and test scripts and leading teams in unit, integration and acceptance testing.
  • Be involved in all aspects of the software product life cycle including requirements, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance and documentation with emphasis on software development.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment are required, and in many cases provide IT's face to the business, ensuring that customers receive value from IT and software solutions.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Experience with functional specifications for EDI integration.
  • Experienced in working on small, fast paced project teams.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combinations of education and work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge on warehouse processes and supporting system landscapes.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with JDA WMS (dispatcher preferred) or other major WMS products.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.



Computer Skills:



  • Proficiency needed in WMS applications and MS Office Suite
  • SQL proficiency is a plus



Certificates & Licenses: None required

Language Skills



  • English (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Spanish is a plus.



Mathematical Skills

  • Able to articulate and voice own opinion and sell your warehouse process design.
  • Travel requirement is approximately 50% range.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally (including Europe).
  • Readiness to travel - can be on short notice.
  • At least 5 years of experience in working in a project-based environment.
  • Quick learner.
