OVERVIEW
A global logistics and freight forwarding company in Wood Dale, IL, is seeking a results-driven and experienced Sales Representative to expand its customer base while delivering exceptional service standards. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of logistics sales experience and a proven track record of driving business growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Customer Satisfaction: Exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality logistics solutions.
Business Development: Prospect, identify, and acquire new clients, focusing on building strong, long-term partnerships.
Client Relationship Management: Understand clients' logistics needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
Proposal & Presentation: Develop and deliver customized proposals and presentations. Work closely with operations to prepare pricing and RFQs.
Negotiations: Conduct pricing and contract negotiations, with a strong focus on Japanese clients, to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (operations and customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery.
Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform strategies.
Sales Planning: Create, manage, and execute a comprehensive sales plan, utilizing CRM tools to track and report progress.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, customer feedback, and market insights to management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years of logistics sales experience required.
Proven ability to develop new customers and build strong pipelines with key decision-makers.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize customer requirements into innovative logistics solutions.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
