Responsibilities

Peraton seeks an Emerging Cyber Threats Analyst to support the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) on Cyberspace Operations.

Work Location: Pentagon and Taylor Building (Arlington).

In this role, you will analyze and assess emerging threats to the Army's networks and systems.

Tasks include:

    Provide expert analysis and recommendations to support the development of effective countermeasures and mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze and assess emerging cyberspace threats to the Army's networks and
    systems, including threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations to support the development of
    effective countermeasures and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct research on emerging threats, including reviewing serialized intelligence
    reports, publicly available information (PAI), open source intelligence (OSINT),
    and other relevant sources.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Army's network
    architecture, including its weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with Army Cybersecurity personnel, intelligence analysts, and other
    stakeholders to gather and share threat intelligence.
  • Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports, briefings, and other products to
    inform Army Cybersecurity and Cyberspace Operations decision-making.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to Army Cybersecurity teams, including
    incident response and remediation efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, trends, and technologies, and apply
    this knowledge to inform Army Cybersecurity and Cyberspace Operations efforts.
  • Maintain an understanding of the technologies employed in Army Task Critical
    Assets and how they may be affected by ongoing and emerging cyber threats.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum experience of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • The Senior-level expert requirements will, at a minimum, include:
    • Experience in CO/CEMA at the HQDA or equivalent level and above
    • Experience and knowledge of military documentation process, JCIDS requirements analysis, PPBE, and an in-depth understanding of the structure, functions, and specific key personnel across OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, CCMDs, TRADOC, and the ASCCs including ARCYBER, CCoE and other TRADOC CoEs
    • Possess excellent writing, editing, and briefing skills and experience with word, excel, and project management.
    • Demonstrate ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic team environment.
    • Demonstrate ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet short- suspense deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Be knowledgeable in HQDA processes and systems, and have previously completed courses equivalent to or relevant to preparing various documents related to the DAMO-SOC
  • Have prior experience operating within a DoD Cyber Protection Team from any service
  • Be able to travel in support of DAMO-SOC requirements
  • Be able to remote work from home on classified systems provided by the governmemt if requested and approved
  • Be able to open and lock work locations at Taylor building or RSAC (Pentagon)
  • Active TS SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI
  • U.S Citizen

  • TS SCI clearance
  • 15+ years of US DoD experience

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
