Senior Systems Administration

We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator in support of the FRB TWAI contract. This position will handle responsibilities including the support of decommissioning/removing applications' configurations in complexed infrastructure environments. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable working in a team environment and willing to work flexible hours. After-hours support is a requirement of this position.

What you will do:

Applies technical knowledge to assist clients in the decommission of web base application solutions in a complex technical environment.
• Assist in design phase when requested by Architect to provide input for Detail Level Designs (DLDs).
• Perform review of DLDs and provide expert feedback.
• Should be comfortable working in a team environment and willing to work flexible/after hours.
• Identify opportunities for quality and process improvement resulting in improved efficiency, increased productivity, and high customer satisfaction
• Work with other teams to support business needs and respond to requests in a timely manner as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years with a Bachelors Degree. . Additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree
• 8 years experience with Linux RedHat, Solaris and Windows build
• Senior-level knowledge of UNIX/Solaris administration
• Hands on experience in VLAN, vDisk, vSwitch, VM template, Storage Multipathing, RAID config, RDM, LVM, ZFS.
• Experience with VMware ESXi and vCloud Suite Enterprise
• Experience on hardware configuration for HPE ProLiant servers, Blade Systems, Oracle Sparc servers and appliances.
• Working experience / knowledge on SAN storage, HA clustering technology, private/public cloud (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, networking, and security vulnerability assessment.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP and HTTPS.
• Working knowledge of production Web hosting environments is required.
• Able to independently troubleshoot issues
• Ability to assist in requirement data gathering
• General requirements include extensive use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, engineering design and problem-solving skills.
• Superior verbal and written communications; attention to detail; and organizational skills
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) and WebLogic technologies
• Experience with IBM HTTP Server (IHS) and WebSphere technologies
• Experience with PowerShell and Service Now
• Experience with BMC Remedy
• Experience with VMWare/VMWare Cloud Foundation
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol.Working knowledge of other Internet protocols (e.g., DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, LDAP).
