Pay Rate: $31/hr

Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and production machines. You'll also troubleshoot malfunctions, set up and tear down equipment, and perform construction, fabrication, and installation of new plant equipment. Additionally, you'll identify problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and use precision tools to complete repairs and fabrications.

Responsibilities:



  • Perform minor to major maintenance repairs, including welding on food equipment to meet food-safe specifications.
  • Perform advanced maintenance duties, including cutting, welding, and fabricating parts such as guards, doors, sensors, and conveyors.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems using various tools and equipment, including hoists and power tools.
  • Control downtime by advising production workers on routine maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
  • Use SAP to document work completed and communicate with operations teams.
  • Train lower-level maintenance employees on equipment upkeep and regular servicing.
  • Work with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe and orderly work environment.




Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year degree in a specialized maintenance trade is preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience in fabrication and mechanical maintenance.
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge, electrical skills, and experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • CNC programming and welding experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs. and have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
