Strategic Communications/Program Manager
Contract: 6-7 months
Must be in CST or EST Time Zone Our global client is seeking a professional who can manage, create, and launch global communications to a variety of internal audiences. As with any enterprise level client constant communication is key, especially as it relates to Operations, Change Management and Process/Procedural Communications. In this role, you will work with SMEs to gather points of communication, draft the content and launch via internal emails, web content, etc. Much of the communication will cascade hitting multiple channels, audiences, and departments. This is not a creative content/communications role, this is important, strategic and at times, sensitive information that needs to be disseminated. Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal clients and senior stakeholders, including HR leadership, to understand business needs and develop strategic communication plans.
- Serve as a knowledge expert, partner and the primary contact for internal communications and projects across multiple client areas, particularly talent/performance management, compensation, and the HR Business partner and shared services teams.
- Draft, edit, and oversee the delivery of clear, concise, and engaging communications on high-profile topics such as performance management and compensation.
- Manage the end-to-end communication process, from planning and approvals to execution and post-delivery analysis.
- Ensure all communications are timely, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities and brand voice.
- Provide expert guidance on tone, format, and delivery methods to ensure messaging aligns with company values and resonates with diverse audiences, particularly across regions.
- Leverage CMS technologies to create, schedule, and distribute communications effectively across multiple channels.
- Maintain project plans, set scope, create timetables, monitor progress, and ensure best practices are followed during implementation.
- Counsel clients on appropriate communication channels and target audiences for maximum impact of each message.
- Manage relevant HR Huddle (employee intranet) pages to ensure the most up-to-date information is published and easy to find.
- Ensure ongoing cross-functional information sharing across the organization through various channels.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of client areas and creative briefs to write, edit, design and deliver communications at global and functional levels.
- Review all communication materials from the internal team (content, design, production) for accuracy and alignment prior to sharing them with the client, and gain appropriate feedback and approval to incorporate them into the final product.
Position requirements:
- 6+ years of communications-related experience
- Portfolio or Case studies of communication required
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects, some with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute against strategies aligned with business goals and company culture
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience navigating a complex, matrixed organization
- Familiarity with and experience using content management systems such as Poppulo, Mailchimp etc and Intranet or Website services such as WordPress, LumApps etc.
- Creative problem-solver and aptitude to take informed, calculated risks
- Confidence and poise to work closely with senior executives and other leaders
- Ability to influence in multiple ways and build credibility quickly with key stakeholders and peers
