Vizient Intern Program Overview:

This program is intended to create a beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Vizient, our employees, and collegiate students. Since 2000, our summer intern program has provided college undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students with practical experience that exposes them to multiple aspects of a career field and the healthcare industry. This full-time, paid intern program offers an opportunity to accelerate academic learning, apply classroom knowledge, and introduce students to a professional setting. Interns are assigned a supervisor to mentor/develop business skills and monitor work experiences. Interns are part of the company's team, setting goals, working toward deadlines, and participating in community service projects.

The program requires the intern to commit to 10 weeks of participation in all formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders.

  • Program starts June 2, 2025, and ends August 8, 2025.
  • 40 hours per week with a pay rate of $24 per hour.

We provide the tools and training necessary to succeed, as well as provide intentional development opportunities such as:

  • Exposure to senior leadership to discuss the project, strategy, and milestones.
  • Network opportunities with cross-functional teams to learn about various areas within the organization.
  • Personalized strengths coaching.
  • Participate in company meetings and key culture events.
  • Value-added project management skills.
  • Intern-led community impact project and various team-building activities outside of work.

What you will do:

The intern will delve into transformative projects at the forefront of digital innovation, working with Nexthink, a cutting-edge Digital Experience Monitoring platform. Guided by human-centered design principles and advanced qualitative and quantitative research, the intern will help identify and resolve sources of digital friction across Vizient. With the support of a seasoned Digital Experience Researcher, they will develop impactful insights and scalable solutions that enhance employee productivity, collaboration, and satisfaction. This role offers a chance to blend technology, strategy, and creativity to solve complex problems in the ever-evolving digital landscape. Team up with the Digital Experience Researcher to uncover how Vizient employees use digital tools, spot opportunities for improvement, and help create a better technology experience for everyone.

  • Get hands-on with designing and leading user interviews, then transform your findings into powerful presentations to leadership-complete with engaging stories and eye-popping data visualizations that inspire action.
  • Roll up your sleeves and help create programs or solutions that make using technology easier, faster, and more enjoyable for employees.
  • Experiment with Nexthink's most remarkable features, discovering innovative ways to improve the digital workplace experience across the company.
  • Jump into brainstorming sessions and bring your big ideas to the table, collaborating with other creative minds to tackle challenges and think outside the box.

What you will need:

  • Enrolled in a four-year accredited college, university, or graduate program in good academic standing.
  • Must have completed thesophomore year as an undergraduate before the start of the internship or recently completed your degree.
  • Basic understanding of working in a hybrid environment, workplace ethics, and effective communication.
  • Good organization and planning skills, and demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with internal Vizient business partners, external members, and suppliers.
