As a Senior Linux Systems Administrator, you will:



  • Manage and optimize Linux-based platforms in an HPC environment, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
  • Support PostgreSQL databases andGoogleTensorFlow workflows to ensure efficient operations
  • Implement innovative solutions using tools like Lustre and Bright Cluster to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure system efficiency and data integrity


Key Responsibilities of a Senior Linux Systems Administrator:



  • Plan and implement software and hardware configurations for Linux systems.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical systems.
  • Automate routine tasks using BASH or Python scripting.
  • Optimize and secure containerized environments using Podman/Docker and Ansible.
  • Monitor performance, conduct system upgrades, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Implement and maintain secure systems, applying DoD STIGs and configuring SELinux.
  • Configure and manage network file systems (NFS) and log management solutions.
  • Conductbackup procedures, disaster recovery planning, and system performance optimization.
  • Administer data storage systems like Lustre and Bright Cluster, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Support and troubleshoot server environments, responding quickly to interruptions or outages.

Job Requirements

What You Bring



  • Top Secret clearance w/SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).
  • 10-12 years of IT Systems Administration experience, including:

    • 5-7years of Linux administration, with expertise in containerization(Podman/Docker),Ansible, andOpenLDAP
    • Ability toconfigure mount points, add and expandhard disk space, makedrives persistent, and implementNFS drives
    • Capable of performingbackup proceduresusingtarandgzip,configuring log management, and analyzing logs
    • Experienced with implementingDoD STIGs, configuringSELinux


  • Proven experience with VMware vSphere (v7 or higher) and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Proficiency in BASH and Python scripting for automation.


Certifications Required:



  • Active DoD 8140IAT II Level Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+) REQUIRED
  • Current RHCSA or RHCE certification REQUIRED(or the ability to obtain theRHCSAwithin 6 months of hire)

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
