Shipping Specialist

Location: Urbancrest, OH, USA - 3500 Centerpoint Drive

Shift: Monday to Friday, 2pm-10:30pm. Please note - flexibility is required as shifts may change based on needs of the business. Overtime is mandatory if required.

Full-time, permanent- this role is benefit (401K, health, dental, vision) and bonus eligible.

Job Overview:

McKesson's shipping specialists are responsible for coordinating and managing the shipment of goods inside of the distribution center from one location to another, ensuring that they comply with all the relevant regulations, documentation, and customer requirements.

The candidate selected will will be packaging, manifesting, and tracking all the items requested by the customers (external and internal); verifying that product will depart on time and with the corresponding courier. A critical piece to this role is researching and solving any shipping issues for timely freight delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience

Additional Qualifications/Skills

  • Shipping/transportation and/or other related experience within a Distribution Center or warehouse environment.

  • Knowledge and/or exposure with: packing, shipping, labeling, and/or transportation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong customer service skills

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Teams)

  • RF webpage knowledge is preferred

  • Power Equipment experience is strongly preferred. However, the location is willing to train. Must be able to maintain certifications once trained

  • Basic reading and math skills.

  • Ability to partner with various internal stakeholders and/or departments

  • Able to work autonomously

  • Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the "big picture"and be proactive and problem solve

  • Detail orientated with high level of accuracy

  • Excellent organization and prioritization in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Other tasks may be assigned to improve and maintain the proper training and support of the DC

Physical Demands (some or all may apply):

  • Must be comfortable working at heights

  • Must be comfortable working in refrigerated areas

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.

  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

  • May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion and great weights in a team lift.

  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.

$16.94 - $28.24
