#Indeed Job Summary Evaluate and advise individuals to assist recovery from or avoid athletic-related injuries or illnesses, or maintain peak physical fitness. Administer therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of a physical therapist.NATABOC (National Athletic Training Association Board of Cert) Certified or eligible. Depending on location, North Carolina or Virginia Board of Medicine Licensed Athletic Trainer or eligible Required. Bachelor's degree or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree required. Qualifications: BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Athletic Training Athletic Trainer License (LAT) - State license - North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners (NCBATE), Athletic Trainer License (LAT) - State license - Other/National, Athletic Trainer License (LAT) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP), Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) - Certification - Board of Certifcation for the Athletic Trainer (BOC)Skills Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Judgment and Decision Making, Leadership, Learning Strategies, Mgmt of Material Resources, Monitoring, Service Orientation, Social Perceptiveness, Speaking, Technology/Computer, Time Management, WritingSentara Healthcare prides itself on the diversity and inclusiveness of its close to an almost 30,000-member workforce.
