Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Brand Officer, the Patient Experience Director implements patient experience activities to create a positive, proactive patient and family experience. Responsible for leading and implementing strategies to enhance the quality of care and overall experience for Monument Health patients and their loved ones. You will play a vital role in cultivating a culture of exceptional service across our health system and instilling a sense of warmth and compassion throughout the organization.

The Patient Experience Director provides leadership in the implementation of tactics for patient experience. Facilitates performance improvement strategies and coaching activities for enhancing the patient experience.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and implement patient experience strategy and direction across the organization.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders, administration, and clinical teams to drive a seamless, patient-centered journey.
  • Analyze patient experience data and feedback to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training programs to ensure quality, compassionate patient care.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations for improving communication and patient connections.
  • Lead and support patient experience meetings, councils, and committees across the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve patient experience efforts.
  • Track and report key patient experience metrics, including CAHPS and regulatory data.
  • Share success stories and promote a positive culture of patient and family experience.
  • Partner with patient advocates to gather feedback and assess patient needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Experience - Minimum of 4 years of experience ((preferably in a patient experience leadership role)

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
