Quality Engineering Internship with emphasis on project assignments including validation and qualification of metrology lab equipment, custom component first article approvals and assistance with incoming material inspections. . This opportunity is temporary employment for engineering students who are seeking a summer internship. This is a paid internship for 40 hours per week (except holidays) and tentatively begins in May 2025 and ends in August 2025. This internship is located in Rochester, Minnesota and will require 100% on site attendance.

The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated engineering student who is ready for a challenging internship in a fast-paced, electronics manufacturing environment.

Skills Required:
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Analyze complex instructions to assess for flaws/clarity
  • Computer/Software literacy
  • Utilize hand/power and precision assembly tools
Essential Functions:
  • Assist in the assembly of prototypes
  • Participate in implementation of customer design requirements
  • Aid in development of manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Aid in development and execution of product build instructions
  • Collaborate with engineering peers on early prototype manufacturing
  • Collaborate with engineering peers on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews for design enhancement
  • Verify completed work, checking dimensions, materials to be used and quantities per the verification plan

Education: Pursuing 4 year engineering degree

Work Schedule: M-F 0800-1630

Full Time

Compensation Range: $13.13 to $21.00 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.

Benefits and Other Compensation: Due to the temporary nature of this role, benefits would not be offered.
