Job Summary

The VP of belonging, talent acquisition, and community outreach is accountable for the development and execution of strategies and materials that are critical to the short and long-term effectiveness of belonging, talent acquisition, and outreach across MillerKnoll. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the role builds successful partnerships with other HR centers of excellence, HR partners, and the business to align our values, talent, engagement, belonging, attraction, and listening people strategies with our changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes belonging, talent acquisition, and community outreach strategies that align with the overall MillerKnoll business strategy and contribute to long-term organizational success which includes prioritization and budgeting.
  • Consults with leaders and business partners at all levels of the organization on the culture and associate experience impact of global belonging, talent acquisition outreach and initiatives. Works with enterprise leaders to develop department specific goals and programs.
  • Develops and leads a team of engaged associates, fostering a culture of inclusion and high performance.
  • Creates, fosters, and drives a campus talent acquisition and internship strategy for MillerKnoll.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains a compelling vision for global belonging, talent acquisition, and outreach at MillerKnoll that will result in a world-class attraction, selection, engagement and retention capability that strengthens our associate value proposition.
  • Develops, monitors, and analyzes metrics for success across belonging, talent acquisition, and outreach; leverages data driven insights to inform strategies and decisions.
  • Creates external focus to understand belonging, talent acquisition, and outreach best practices, regulations, and shifting dynamics within the industry, community, federal, state and local government and professional associations.
  • Develops policies, programs, and processes which adhere to government requirements globally, particularly activities that support all internal and external regulatory processes.
  • Builds and executes a relevant belonging offering that includes internal and external awareness, learning, and activation.
  • Develops, maintains, promotes, a muti-faceted methodology and marketing plan that attracts and develops top talent and maintains high-level engagement throughout the talent acquisition, interviewing, assessment, and selection process at all levels in the organization.
  • Builds and executes our community outreach approach and network that will lead to targeted and beneficial relationships for networking, talent acquisition, and outreach.
  • Maintain and monitor budget.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience in relevant HR functions; global experience preferred
  • 5+ years in managing a high performing team
  • 5+ years of project leadership experience; global project leadership experience preferred

  • Strong ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence, build trust, communicate, create change, and deliver results with associates from all levels of the organization, and all cultures.
  • Strong relationship and consensus-building skills necessary to manage projects in a complex matrixed environment.
  • Business acumen that allows you to partner with leaders, draw conclusions, and make decisions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in belonging, talent acquisition, and outreach global frameworks, best practices, regulations, and laws.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, and a proven capability to present complex concepts in a concise and understandable way to a variety of audiences including the highest level of the organization.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse workforce and provide leadership in organizational change.
  • Highly proficient in leveraging technology and data analytics to drive decision-making.
  • Fluent in office automation, communication, software, and tools used including IT and HR systems.
  • Able to travel as needed.

A starting compensation range for this role is $195,800.00 - $261,350.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
