Support San Juan Basin operations by managing all chemical programs while maintaining accurate and precise records to remain within compliance.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains Chemical Treatment Programs including: Corrosion treatment schedules and residual sampling, H2S treatment and sampling, produced fluids management: oil/produced water separation, produced water clarification, foam applications and provide recommendations.
- Well treatment including corrosion inhibition, hydrate inhibition, scale inhibition/removal, paraffin inhibition/removal and asphaltene inhibition/removal; maintains continuous injectors in good working order.
- Corrosion monitoring programs to ensure facilities and pipeline integrity.
- Gas Treatment - Hydrogen sulfide removal and dehydration to maintain gas quality.
- Perform lab testing of samples (water, scale, paraffins, emulsions) for chemical recommendations.
- Participate in federal and state pipeline safety audits for operating states.
- Maintains accurate records for cost tracking/reporting for chemical and corrosion programs.
- Work with various teams (pipeline/compression facilities/production operations/SWD/workover and completions) to support projects as they relate to chemical treatment.
- Review and approve chemicals for use in San Juan Basin -Maintain accurate MSDS records as part of HAZCOM.

Qualifications:
- Five (5) years minimum experience in chemical programs in the oil and gas industry.
- Proficient communication with vendors. Accurate information on quantity, cost, QA/QC and expected delivery timing.
- Experience with change management systems, database development and management for chemical programs.
- Proficient at cost tracking and reporting.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to make valuable contribution to team goals and objectives.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, vendors and the public.
- Ability to maintain schedules and accurately report field information in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate work schedules and priorities to others.
- Project management, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Preferred: EAM
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Preferred Post Secondary Education with a Science / Chemistry focus
