Clinical Pharmacist (FT-Day), Marlboro NJ

Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Clinical Pharmacist in Englishtown, NJ.

Qualifications:

Required:

• BA/BS in Pharmacy, with Pharm D
• Current NJ Pharmacy License
• Residency in Pharmacy or comparable experience required
• One year of current pharmacy experience

Preferred:

• Specialized trianing of experience in emergency medicine, geriatrics or critical care preferred
• Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Pharmacy licensure in New Jersey

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift, 40 hours/week
• Full-Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

• Direct patient care monitoring to assure appropriateness of medication therapy
• Consult, and Educate pharmacy and nursing staff on best (medication) practices
• Identify, promote, and implement safe mediation practices
• Assure medication related practices are being done in accordance with written policy
• Track clinical interventions, assemble and evaluate Department documentation metrics
• Monitor the medication reconciliation process
• Develop the clinical skills of the staff pharmacist and maintain staff performance and consistency with clinical cost containment tasks
• Precept pharmacy students and/or Residents when applicable
• Communicate and present clinical data and Department metrics at various committees
