Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking qualified candidates to fill entry-level manufacturing production hourly positions in the Rhinelander, WI plant. These positions have the potential for rapid advancement and include a full benefits package (see below).

The Quality Technician position provides a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience working with a skilled workforce all while improving technical & mechanical skills.

  • Understand appropriate test method and equipment to perform all required testing (and sampling) as specified by internal and external customers
  • Perform check-out of each job in Press and Laminating to include specifications, film types, job jacket, etc.
  • Perform visual check on all samples representing material produced on shift
  • Accurately entering data into PRISM for retention and reporting
  • Perform accurate calibration checks of all equipment
  • Responsible for creating hold tags for defective material and ensuring rolls are tagged for proper identification
  • Daily use of the X-rite software and spectrophotometer
  • Maintain department 5S standards including housekeeping and stocking supplies
  • Daily filing of job jackets
  • Fire Crew responsibilities include closing fire doors
  • Being well versed in customer specifications and knowing how to identify structures for comparison to the proper spec
  • Effective communication of results to the Laminating and Press Operators as well as Department Leads
  • Use of PRISM screens to obtain job/production information
