Professional Summary

The Program Director of Patient Financial Experience provides strategic direction and oversight of various revenue cycle functions to ensure a consistently world-class experience for our patients. This includes prior authorizations and benefits verification, patient collections, patient estimates, the digital experience via MyChart, and financial advocacy. This position provides direction to a team to provide education, auditing, monitoring and support of various revenue functions. The role also includes performing reporting and analysis of revenue related data and supports patient-facing process improvement. This position provides expertise as it relates to billing and patient financial processes, while ensuring compliance with organizational, federal, state & third-party requirements. The position requires knowledge of Epic and how to best utilize the functionality and features to drive the organization's patient experience forward.

Hours: Full-time (40 hours) Week Days

Location: Remote

Our organization is registered for remote work in the following states: MD, VA, DC, FL, PA, and DE. To be considered for a remote or hybrid position, relocation is required to one of the registered states if not currently residing in one.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or healthcare
  • HFMA Certifications, preferred
  • 1+ active Epic Proficiencies or Certifications, specifically in Revenue Cycle applications
  • Minimum seven years of experience in healthcare, revenue cycle operations or related field such as operations or technology consulting. This can be substituted for a minimum of five years of working for Epic and/or a top tier consulting firm
  • Multiple years of management experience preferred


Additional Accountabilities Include:



  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create a comprehensive and effective Patient Financial Experience program
  • Provides direction and subject matter expertise on all revenue cycle functions that affect our patients
  • Uses a data-driven approach to analyze organizational opportunities. Will work with an interdisciplinary team with members of RCM, PMO, and IT (among others) to execute projects
  • Develop communication and presentation materials for senior leadership to ensure transparency and support of our initiatives
  • Establish and oversee annual goals as they relate to the patient financial experience
  • Expert on all regulatory requirements and changes as they relate to the patient financial experience

Salary Range: Minimum 62.90 per hour - Maximum 110.10 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
