Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level IBDSS Test Engineer for theTMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 46 TS / TGBA Flight.

This position provides support to the 46 Test Squadron, Command Control Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Agile Test Flight.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: FT

TRAVEL: 20% CONUS / OCONUS TDYs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 3-10 years of technical experience. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
• An active Secret security clearance is required. S. Citizenship is required.
• Relevant IBDSS experience required within the last 5 years.
• Technical experience in areas related to electronic principles applicable to sensors and sensor-fed systems as well as knowledge of electronic interfaces such as relay closure, fiber optic data lines, Ethernet/data lines between the sensor system/systems and data collection systems.
• Self-motivated expert accepting responsibility for identifying, organizing, coordinating, executing necessary tasks leading to the successful accomplishment of assigned duties.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an integrated test team.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications as required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Experience in Method of Test Development and writing.Experience in collecting, parsing, and validating operational and test related data.
• Experience applying analysis techniques to system requirements, report findings, observations, and deficiencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plans, executes, and reports on the developmental test and evaluation of electronic and physical security devices designed for perimeter and interior security protection of Protection Level 1- 4 assets including access control systems, proximity cards and biometric devices, cameras/camera systems, video management systems, and counter-unmanned aerial systems.
• Support the development of strategic test documents such as Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), test team charters and Modeling and Simulation Development Plans as applicable. Participate in review and editing of IBDSS program support documentation including IBDSS test directives and annexes, and Statements-of-Capability.
• Support long-range and quick reaction test planning and provide input for cost estimating.
• Review requirements, develop applicable test procedures, test objectives and metrics. Collect and analyze test data in support of test objectives.
• Document deficiencies and anomalies of systems under test and participate in deficiency review boards.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and to lead and direct the work of others. Participate in IBDSS working groups and test team planning meetings to determine project testable requirements, required resources (including equipment and personnel), and determine appropriate methods to complete the test effort. Attend meetings to provide technical information on developmental and qualification test activities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing including communication skills in areas of technical writing, briefings, and formal presentations.
• Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays when required to meet mission requirements.
• Must be qualified and able to travel to worldwide sites as required.
