We are seeking an experienced small piece Production Technician to assemble components which help save lives, generate powerful connections, and further our knowledge of space exploration.

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Bristol, PA.

Summary:

The purpose of this positions is to fabricate high reliability and production products for customers and design engineers. The ability to work with engineering with either verbal or written instruction is required.

Here's what you'd do:

* Winding of prototype samples, bobbin, toroidal, or otherwise. Terminating or attaching leads/terminals to parts and assembling product. * Encapsulation, marking, finishing operations as required per the PE drawings. * Prepare & set-up equipment for assemblers. Assess areas where bottlenecks are preventing good line balancing, and help stabilize the flow and keep products moving through the process * Assist in the training of all new / existing assemblers on manufacturing and test methods, Workmanship Standards. * Maintain a professional work ethic, clean work area, and safe work practices and 5S requirements * Assist the Department Manager with weekly shipments schedule, review, filing of all documentation, maintaining the integrity of all paperwork. * Assist the Department Manager in the upkeep of all lab tools and equipment, and the proper storage of all materials (5S) * Performs other duties as outline by direct supervisor

Pay: $18-$21/hr (DOE)

Hours: 40hrs/week

Length: Temp to Direct

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent education
Minimum 5 years related job experience
Must have at least 1 year recent soldering experience.
Must have at least 1 year understanding of schematic diagrams or blueprint reading.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in electronics assembly environment preferred
Must be able to read and understand a Bill of Material (BOM) - preferred
Must be able to operate: Winding machines, bobbin, toroidal, multiple or other. Soldering equipment, hand tools, encapsulation equipment, and impregnation equipment, marking equipment, wire terminating, stripping, bonding, or handling equipment. Other equipment that may be associated with the manufacture of the company's products. Must have good manual dexterity and good visual acuity. Must be able to work using a microscope of magnifying lens on miniature parts including those used in surface mount parts. Must be able to place surface mount parts to 0603 size within the ANSI/IPC A610A guide lines in the PEQ.
