Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Interact and build working relationships in a diverse office of professionals and provide valuable contribution to real-world environmental projects, including a variety of environmental compliance, investigation, and/or remediation projects.
  • Fieldwork such as soil, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance.
  • Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation.
  • Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation.
  • Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses.
  • Groundwater modeling and 3D data visualization.
  • Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting.
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety (HAZWOPER), first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.

Travel to project sites as needed with potential for overnight, company-paid travel. Work related travel is reimbursed.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology. (preferred)
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Microsoft Access, AutoCAD, Modflow, and/or EVS. (preferred)
  • Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills. (preferred)
  • Local to Pittsburgh, PA area. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required - up to 60% when necessary)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required, Geosyntec provided)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
