This position is in-person at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Reno, Nevada. The office is a collaborative, faced-paced environment with room for growth and training. In this entry-level role, you will be fulfilling records requests for files and maps related to the land BLM manages in Nevada.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Create, barcode, file, and track case files
  • Use terminal digit file system
  • Ship inventory records according to records disposition
  • Use FedEx for tracking file shipments
  • Ship and retrieve official records from Federal Records Center (FRC) and National Archives Records Administration (NARA)
  • Interact with BLM staff, management, customers (internal and external), and others
  • During high-volume time periods, assist the Contact Representative staff with basic operational duties


Qualifying Requirements:



  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) security background check
  • Ability to research, interpret, and implement BLM policies and procedures
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Highly desirable to have experience with specific DOI and BLM software (LR2000, TABFusion, SNAM, CBS, OnBase) but is not required
  • Ability to safely bend, lift and carry items that weigh up to approximately 50 pounds of weight on less than a weekly basis.
