This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Human Resources Department in an expanding organization with enormous opportunities for growth!

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team! The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities and in-depth knowledge of Human Resources standard practices. Bilingual candidates preferred and union experience a plus! Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus.

Up to Date Laundry is one of the largest commercial laundries on the East Coast servicing hospitals and various healthcare facilities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, D.C. and Virginia. Our facility provides full service to our customers from laundry/linen pickup to return delivery. Our dedicated staff ensure the delivery of hygienically clean laundry year round.

  • Compensation and Benefits Administration
  • Training and Development Administration.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, speak, translate and interpret) preferred.
  • Experience in production, manufacturing and/or warehouse environments and union preferred.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Must have good judgement and the ability to analyze and problem solve.
  • Must have elevated level of adaptability and a high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus web-based information research and retrieval.
  • Requires a consistent on-site schedule and occasional after hours support and potential weekends as needed.

Occasionally, the person in this position will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, moderate to noisy sound levels and non-temperature-controlled warehouse and production environments on a limited basis.
