JOB MISSION:
As a Senior Product Developer for Athlete Services, you will lead a part of the product development for New Balance's products that services our athletes. You will plan, drive, and track development to optimize product execution and readiness to deliver product to athletes on time and with high quality. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, Sports Marketing, Consumer Insights, Engineering, Sourcing, and Quality based teams. You will utilize (and build on) your knowledge of shoe engineering, materials, costing, and manufacturing processes to help deliver market leading products and results. You will be expected to adapt and learn new skills as New Balance continues to transform its product and processes to be more boutique and drive great athlete experiences.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Lead assigned product development workload across multiple categories to service NB athletes.
* Drive cross-functional understanding of athlete product calendars and deliverables.
* Meet tech pack deliverables, sampling deadlines and product confirmation deadlines with Sports Marketing and Asia partners, ensuring this is properly tracked to provide full visibility and transparency.
* Drive validation of all your products by establishing testing plans and reviewing all material testing, full-shoe testing, fit and wear testing reports through development - work to solutions for all risks and issues.
* Work on Personal Development including developing your competencies: Drive Results, Action-Oriented, Collaboration, Adaptability, Inclusion
* Domestic and International travel may be required.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
* Engineering degree a plus
* Minimum of 3-5 years development experience.
* Strong leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and be a team player; escalate issues in a timely manner to get support.
* Effective Project Management, Communication, and Problem-Solving Skills
* Multiple years of footwear experience with working knowledge of technical drawings, molding processes, materials, wear test data, footwear technology, patterns, and production processes. Past exposure to developing and implementing new lasts.
* Ability to effectively balance work in-person and remotely to fit with New Ways of Working. Required to be in Lawrence, MA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
