Job Overview:
Responsible for accurately creating and maintaining a production schedule and coordinating sales order fulfilment by creating partnerships with all other areas of the business to ensure customer deliveries are on-time as promised
Responsibilities:
* Create, manage, and assist in creating the production schedule to establish machine and build sequence to ensure delivery commitments are met based on customer promised delivery dates and month Sold Unit Mechanism (SUM) requirements. * Work directly with Schedulers and Buyers to determine inventory levels that support firm sales orders and the customer promised delivery dates. Proactively discuss risks to production and plan accordingly. * Monitor and adjust MRS levels of purchased and manufactured parts to accurately and timely meet customer promised delivery dates. * Monitor lead time and actively control variation that can cause a negative impact to our customers and ability to achieve the monthly plan. * Perform SAP operations such as cutting production orders, printing sales shop copies, putting units to stock, issuing parts, cycle count adjustments, and closing and settling work orders. * Work directly with Buyer regarding needs to create a plan that ensures customer promised delivery dates are protected. * Ensure completed inspection records are accurate prior to work order closure. * Work directly with other areas of business to ensure customer promised delivery dates are met and/or any needs of the customer are supported. * Identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions. * Demonstrate excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent * Ability to read and interpret Bill of Materials and Engineering controlled documents. * Ability to identify and solve problems. * Attentiveness to deadlines and the ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-past, team environment. * Strong computer skills including the use of Excel, Word, Access, and Microsoft Office. * Ability to identify and solve problems.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
* Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs. * Regular use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. * Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time. Work environment is on the manufacturing floor - temperatures vary substantially
Core Competencies:
* 3+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing * Comprehension of MRP and MRS systems. * Comprehension of Multi-BOM structures. * 1+ years' experience in manufacturing with similar experience * Ability source data from multiple sources and analyse large amounts of data * Self- directed, flexible with a positive attitude * Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams * Possess good verbal and written communication skills
