Why do we need you ?

This position is accountable for the development, maintenance and execution of the master production schedule. The incumbent works closely with plant supervision and team members to monitor material, equipment, machine and personnel resources. He/she identifies constraints and schedules new orders to most effectively utilize plant resources, provides feedback to Management on changes or events that effect the production environment, maintains the production schedule to reflect change, and recommends actions relative to lead times. The objectives of this position are based on continuous improvements in on-time delivery cycle time reduction and cost avoidance. This position will be the back-up for the other master scheduler (Lamination Vs Forming).

A significant amount of time is spent on the factory floor, or in communication with the factory floor personnel to monitor activity at key work centers and refine plans in response to factory floor events such as material shortages, machine problems or personnel issues. In addition, close interaction with Customer Service is essential to ensure customer demands are met and delays/problems are communicated to customers in a timely fashion.

Is this job for you ?

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or other related field required.
  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of planning, master scheduling and production scheduling theories. Understanding of JIT, Time Based Manufacturing, BOM's, routings and planning parameters is essential.

  • Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel and familiarity with MRP/ERP software systems is necessary. Analytical and negotiating skills, combined with good oral and written communication skills, and excellent organization, planning, and follow up skills will lead to success at this position. Ability to download, analyze and manipulate large amounts of data.



  • Apics Certification preferred

To make sure nothing is forgotten

Responsibilities include:



  • Producing detailed short-term, mid-term and 12 month rolling production master schedules for all levels.
  • Review and track production data and compliance to the upper level master schedule and provide analytics.
  • Identify and escalate any risks to future production plans (material supply, capacity or labor constraints, process issues, etc.
  • Review and reconcile production work centers to ensure inventory accuracy and perform schedule updates.
  • Update work center scheduling report where necessary based on production yields.
  • Maintain work center data and planning parameters within ERP system to ensure planning within plant capabilities
  • Work with Demand Planner/Buyer Forecast Analyst to ensure forecasts in ERP system to drive demand
