Why do we need you ?
This position is accountable for the development, maintenance and execution of the master production schedule. The incumbent works closely with plant supervision and team members to monitor material, equipment, machine and personnel resources. He/she identifies constraints and schedules new orders to most effectively utilize plant resources, provides feedback to Management on changes or events that effect the production environment, maintains the production schedule to reflect change, and recommends actions relative to lead times. The objectives of this position are based on continuous improvements in on-time delivery cycle time reduction and cost avoidance. This position will be the back-up for the other master scheduler (Lamination Vs Forming). A significant amount of time is spent on the factory floor, or in communication with the factory floor personnel to monitor activity at key work centers and refine plans in response to factory floor events such as material shortages, machine problems or personnel issues. In addition, close interaction with Customer Service is essential to ensure customer demands are met and delays/problems are communicated to customers in a timely fashion. Is this job for you ?
