Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our cardiology team in Kansas City. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients attending our clinic, working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and administrative staff to support the day-to-day operations and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assist cardiologists in patient examinations, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform necessary diagnostic tests.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, treatment plans, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure the highest level of service.
  • Procedure Assistance: Prepare and assist in various cardiology-related procedures and diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor Equipment: Ensure all medical equipment is properly sterilized and operational; report and document any equipment malfunction.
  • Telephone Triage: Answer patient inquiries, assess symptoms, and provide guidance over the phone, escalating issues to healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Stock Management:Maintain and order necessary medical supplies, ensuring clinic rooms are stocked and organized.

Qualifications

1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
