The American Chemical Society (ACS) is the world's largest scientific membership association and one of the top five scholarly publishers in the world. The Publications Division of the ACS provides to its members and the worldwide scientific community a comprehensive collection of high-quality information products and services for the practice and advancement of the chemical sciences. The Division publishes 80+ high-quality peer-reviewed journals that cover the breadth of chemistry and allied fields, as well as a weekly magazine, peer reviewed digital books and reference works (ACS Reagents, ACS Guide to Scholarly Communications). Within the ACS Publications Division, the Global Editorial Operations (GEO) team performs four main functions:
Position Summary & Accountabilities Reporting to the Manager, Publishing Integrity Office, the Publication Data and Ethics Manager will divide time between publication ethics case management and data analysis support. Ethics case management requires providing guidance and best practice information to internal stakeholders such as journal Editors and ACS staff. Data analysis support includes the development and enforcement of data policies and standards across ACS journal portfolio, including data validation, data deposition requirements, and data availability statements as well as data initiatives project-based work.
