EAM Supervisor - 1st shift

Position Summary:

The EAM Supervisor supervises and faciliates the effcient flow of work through the Maintenance EAM System. Fills in for the Inventory Technician and Maintenance Scheduler. Maintain EAM System relative to equipment entries, routings and/or modifications to existing ones as needed, other EAM maintenance activities as assigned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the EAM MRO Inventory Technician and EAM MRO Planner/Scheduler. Ensures the flow of Work Orders and parts in a timely and efficient manner. Trains and assists the Inventory Technician and Maintenance Scheduler as needed.
  • Assists Maintenance Manager in completion and oversight of projects as assigned, including but not limited to the 5S Initative. Work with contractors and vendors as required. Manage special operations projects as needed to improve the operation. Analyzes data from the JDE and AS400 systems to suggest courses for improvement, worthwhile projects, and to satisfy requests from Managers for information. Trouble shoot problems (poor yields of ingredients, labor efficiency, performance of PMs, etc).
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation such as attendance tracking, training, periodic reports, work orders, weekend schedules, and audits.
  • Maintain the EAM system relative to equipment and routing additions, modifications, and/or deletions. Review, modify, and/or create PM Routings as needed, obtaining help from Maintenance Staff as needed to complete.
  • Fill in for Scheduler/Planner and as required.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel as well as AS400.
  • Minimum of 2 years expereicne in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Good leadership, organizational, communiction and people skills.
  • Working knowledge of the overall production process and Maintenance procedures.
  • Mastery of EAM JDE module is needed.
  • Critical thinking skills required.
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources.
  • Basic math skills required.

*The "base salary range" provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The range provided is for California-based employees as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates. Ventura Foods reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography. Ventura Foods conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.

Physical Demands:
Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.Additional demands may be required.

Work Environment:
In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May work outside and in adverse temperatures which include extreme hot, cold, and humidity.May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards.May require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time.
