Manager Network Security Engineering The Network Security Engineering Manager role revolves around overseeing the security infrastructure, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring the effectiveness of network security protocols. This includes directing and escalating issues related to high-visibility network security technologies. The position involves project management, change management, threat response, and operational excellence. Additionally, responsibilities extend to risk management, policy development, and internal assessments. Effective communication and collaboration with various technology stakeholders are essential aspects of the role. Position Responsibilities: Strategy
- Oversee and manage the security infrastructure of the network.
- Lead and supervise a team of network security engineers.
- Direct and escalate issues related to network security technologies such as Zscaler, Checkpoint, Akamai, Neustar, Proofpoint and others.
- Act as a subject matter expert on network security.
- Stay abreast of technology industry trends and best practices.
- Continuously transform the organization to increase efficiencies and reduce overall expense.
- Partner with innovation team to test and learn emerging technology and its viable applicability to enhance corporate business capabilities.
Delivery Planning and Execution
- Strong experience directing and managing network security projects.
- Improve network operating model between technology and security teams.
- Establish mechanisms for continuous monitoring and improvement of network security.
- Create, prioritize, plan and execute portfolio/product roadmaps or initiatives through collaboration with Technology and appropriate business partners.
- Reduce time to market by utilizing Agile methodologies and/or applying appropriate methodologies, e.g. DevSecOps.
- Surface issues and risks; escalate for resolution.
- Provides insights on risks based on broad experience.
- Ensure employees deliver new technology solutions and capabilities in accordance with the roadmap and ensure that they meet established objectives and expectations of business partners and/or colleagues.
Technology/Operational/ Risk Control
- Cultivate good system management disciplines including clearly defined and documented roles and responsibilities, documented phase processes and checkpoint and detailed planning for system deployment.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats and technologies; evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance the organization's network protections.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and continuous improvement processes to incorporate lessons learned into security practices.
- Define and report metrics based on overall business objectives.
- Ensures compliance and control activities support technology and enterprise business objectives and are aligned with executive risk tolerances and expectations.
Ensures processes and controls within assigned area to enhance performance, security, reliability and availability of systems. - Drive a continuous improvement and compliant culture through documented policies, procedures and architecture.

- Lead and develop a team of high-performing technical network security experts.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with other technology departments and technical stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment with shared goals and objectives.

Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent through a combination of education and/or technology experience
- 10 or more years of experience network technology experience and proficiency
- 8 years of experience network security protocol and technology experience
- 6 years of experience leading large, complex/critical technology projects
- 5 years of experience influencing strategy for large organizations
- 5 years of experience managing technical teams
- 5 years of experience leading and inspiring others
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
