The Emerge Summer Leadership Institute Program Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Emerge Summer Leadership Institute, overseeing day-to-day logistics, program implementation, and staff coordination. This position is responsible for managing a team of undergraduate student staff, supporting and actively connect with Emerge participants throughout the program, and addressing evening/overnight program needs. This role will also assist with logistic needs such as ensuring supplies are where they need to be during the program. The Program Lead ensures the program's overall success by providing leadership, and guidance and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all involved.

Position Overview
The Program Lead will work directly with the PES Assistant Director and Student Engagement Coordinator to successfully execute logistics and programming for a successful summer program. This position will also work with the PES Professional Sta and a fellow Program Lead to execute the various components of the program.

About the Department
The President's Emerging Scholars (PES) Program is a unit within the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) led by the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education. PES is an educational opportunity program that supports high-achieving, historically underserved students in their pursuit of a bachelor's degree at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Students are selected for the program based on a holistic review conducted by the Office of Admissions. Participants have strong academic and leadership experiences, as well as connect in meaningful ways with their schools and neighborhoods. They also show resilience through their overcoming of personal and systemic barriers. Overall, PES students demonstrate distinctive qualities that make them assets to the University community.
