Countless opportunities The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Bloomberg 12 has a 15 bed acute care Inpatient psychiatry unit , a 12 slot psychiatric Day Hospital for voluntary patients aged 5-17 as well as a 5 bed Psych Pod within our pediatric emergency department. Most commonly seen diagnoses include mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar and adjustment disorders. In addition to mental illness, patients may also have medical co-morbidities: asthma, diabetes, sickle cell, cancer, etc. Responsibilities in the three areas are similar: assessment, milieu management, de-escalation, medication administration and general nursing care, etc, though the workflow in the care areas varies. Patients in all three areas are of various ages (up to 17) and developmental capacities and come with a wide variety of mental and behavioral health issues. Salary Range: Minimum 36.31 per hour - Maximum 56.28 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
