Overview
The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) seeks an Education Medicaid Specialist to provide administrative and technical support for Medicaid billing of school-based health services in Vermont school districts. As a technical expert, the specialist will work closely with supervisory unions, schools, and Medicaid clerks to facilitate proper billing and compliance with state and federal guidelines. This role requires frequent travel to supervisory unions and school locations, with some work performed from a home office. Key Responsibilities:

This position,Education Medicaid Billing Specialist (Job Requisition #51791), is open to all State employees and external applicants.This is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized through 06/30/2025. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs. Environmental Factors
Duties are generally performed in a standard office setting but there will be significant travel required for which private means of transportation must be available. Some work may be required outside of regular work hours. In dealing with a wide variety of people and groups, diverse and strongly held opinions may be encountered. Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of full-time college coursework in business, accounting, education, human services administration, or related field. Preferred Qualifications
