Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose |
Under the supervision of the Central Supervisor, performs duties related to clinic supplies and for all clinics, curriculum courses and laboratory areas.

Essential Functions |
- Order, receive, maintain, and deliver supplies & materials for both internal & satellite clinics, specialty lectures/workshops, curriculum courses and any other school related event in a timely manner. Keep supply storage areas maintained and orderly and maintain stock rotation for date sensitive supplies.
- Deliver dental materials and supplies to clinical areas, monitor and maintain appropriate levels of clinical supplies in central supply. Use the FIFO (First In First out) method of issuing materials to help minimize waste by ensuring older inventory is used first.
- Monitor reorder level points for supply items; create automatic shipments from vendors whenever possible; maintain and update inventory control system to track supplies and reflect monthly transfer costs; provide departmental cost transfer reports to Supervisor monthly.
- Complete daily service of all clinic and lab areas for tidiness and applicable supplies to include, restocking of gloves, patient disposal supplies, alginate stations and self-serve items. Maintain safety protocol in the removal and disposal of hazardous materials according to established procedures and OSHA guidelines. Attend ongoing OSHA training and ergonomic training.
- Monitoring and maintain clinical gown areas, replenish disposable isolation gowns as necessary as well as and/or before leaving at the end of the workday.
- Complete annual inventory of supplies/materials/hazardous supplies and prepare applicable documents for business office
- Perform all other duties assigned by the central supply supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications |
Knowledge of:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and other Microsoft office software.
- Knowledge of dental supplies and materials.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year experience working with supplies and inventory control in high volume setting.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
- Position is full-time, five (5) days per week, seven and one-half (7.5) hours per day shifts between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may reasonably be anticipated. Personal protective equipment will be provided to reduce or eliminate exposure to routine or limited infectious agents

Preferred Qualifications |
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Access helpful.
Ability to:
- Maintain accurate inventory and related records to insure adequate stock.
- Plan and efficiently arrange the storage of supplies/materials.
- Make basic arithmetic computations.
- Work with multiple deadlines and continuously shifting priorities while maintaining efficiency and control over projects assigned.
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the public; work effectively within a team environment.
- Accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
Education:
- Vocational courses or certificate programs in inventory control/central supply are highly desirable.
Other:
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
