Bio-Rad is looking for a Regional Commodity Specialist.



  • Source suppliers for various materials and services.
  • Manages a group of commodities with limited impact and complexity at a local level.
  • May issue purchase orders to support business needs.
  • May actively manages workflow in SAP.
  • Works with appropriate parties to resolve invoice issues to minimize overdue invoices.
  • Identifies and resolves potential supplier problems.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost reductions, updates productivity funnel and execute respective ideas.
  • May ensure goods and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Introduce and manage efficiencies through effective purchasing.
  • Participate in supplier audits and business reviews.
  • Monitors cost and supplier performance.
  • Maintains files and records related to purchasing activities.
  • Act as primary procurement contact for assigned site(s)


How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Experienced professional with wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues.
  • Executes supply strategies with the site personnel
  • Manages supplier relations and escalation issues with site/region specific suppliers.
  • Participates in Supplier AVL development, supplier compliance tracking, supplier business continuity and contract spend management.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, logistics, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Work Experience: 1-3 years' experience in sales, purchasing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience expediting and issuing purchase orders a plus.
  • Coursework towards CPM and/or CPIM certification is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and application of the principles and theories of purchasing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Good oral and written communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills with good organizational skills.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $91,500 to $125,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
