This position is within the Keysight Global Services Organization located in our Roseville site to support Supply Chain Direct Materials Quality and Planning teams. This position works on quality and part related issues, providing some technical product expertise, working cross functionally with Service Support Engineers, Account Managers, Business Planners/Buyers and other escalation paths, when needed.


Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve materials issues such as Out of Box Experience (OBE), Recalibration/Shelf Life and Escalation cases and other requests using web tools (SalesForce, Enovia, and other systems)
  • Work with our different Keysight teams (buyer, planner, manufacturing divisions, Internal teams or supplier) for unresolved problems. This may include taking a digital image and emailing the Support Engineer and shipping parts out using root cause analysis.
  • Determine simple packaging needs when no current package exists (based on packaging criteria guidelines). Contact the appropriate buyer and communicate the attributes for supplier resolution. Work with Packaging expert at the warehouse when a unique requirement calls for the design and creation of a box, crate or label.
  • Review Process Change Orders to determine the action needed to flag a part for special receiving instructions (serial number tracking, recalibration/shelf life, life time buy, scrap, part roll, etc.)
  • Put parts on surveillance in response to customer complaints, packaging issues, or receipt issues.
  • Provide monthly metric results.
  • Respond to cases, voice mail and email in a timely fashion.
  • Work with Operations supply chain team to review defective parts receiving (receive into defectives sub-inventory vs. scrap).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Typically, 2-4 years of relevant experience for this level. Requires general proficiency with quality tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.
  • Must have good communication skills (written and oral). Communicate with several internal and external groups.
  • Some technical knowledge. Familiar with visual attributes of electronic components (i.e. difference between USB, parallel, and video connectors). Understand the differences and attributes of monitors, hard drives, printers, printed circuit boards (visual only). The ability to recognize instrument attributes (i.e. BNC connectors, LCD displays).
  • PC skills that include MS Office Suite and web tools
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is strongly desired or ability to quickly learn applications. Oracle, SalesForce, eVal knowledge would be a strong benefit.
  • Root cause analysis and problem solving skills.
