**The schedule for this role is Thursday-Sunday, 10 hour day shifts**

The Supply Chain Supervisor provides supervision of the staff and daily supply chain operations by ensuring service goals are met in a timely manner. This position is responsible for complying with hospital and departmental policy and procedure. Complies with accreditation and OSHA standards, general infection control, and inventory control requirements. This position also identifies service and performance issues and takes action to ensure problems are corrected.

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supply chain role, or four (4) or more years of experience in a role that interacts with supply chain functions (logistics, inventory replenishment, receiving, procurement, sourcing, vendor management, recall management, value analysis).
Previous experience using a personal computer and various software applications.

Experience PREFERRED:
Three (3) or more years of healthcare supply chain experience.
Minimum of one (1) year of previous work experience in a lead worker or supervisory position.
Three (3) years of previous work experience in a lead worker or supervisory materials management position in an acute care setting.

Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/training PREFERRED:
Associate's degree in business or other related field

Independent action(s) required:
Ensures that the Department meets and complies with the established safety guidelines for the benefit of departmental employees and hospital staff.
Job duties may include the access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies.
Supervises and coordinates multitude of activities of par carts, equipment, medical and surgical supplies.
Communicates effectively in writing and orally and enforces the policies and procedures.
Knowledge of inventory control, distribution theories and philosophies approach.
Knowledge of computer systems used as a tool to accomplish required data organization.

Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
Lead, direct and guide the staff in the direction consistent with the mission of VCUHS.

Additional position requirements:
Will be responsible for day-to-day operation of 24/7 operations
