As a Manager, US Surgical Market Development, you will be responsible for supporting the director in planning, managing relationships, and executing messaging with Key Opinion Leaders in Glaucoma and Retina surgery. Additionally, the focus will be to work with faculty for device training programs and key promotional symposia which advance the training of surgeons of key surgical brands and new product launches. The incumbent will assist in identifying new Key Opinion Leaders and may be asked to develop new relationships in addition to managing currently existing KOL relationships across both the surgical glaucoma and retina spectrum.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with the industry code of practices
  • Visits to ORs and stay abreast of latest techniques in surgery
  • Working on all consulting needs assessments in CASE and coordinate with compliance approver to ensure alignment on all consulting tasks in a compliant manner in ALEX
  • Implementation of our Alcon Consulting Portal, ALEX, to facilitate consulting engagements
  • Assists marketing in training colleagues in implementation of CASE and ALEX
  • Building internal relationships with both US and Global franchise marketing teams, Global Medical Affairs, Strategic Insights, Surgical Training, Corporate communications, Legal, Meetings & Events
  • Support the director in managing the consulting budget and tracking spending to plan
  • Be a key liaison between Conventions and Meetings and Events team in planning Alcon's presence at key meetings and working on sponsorships for secondary meetings
  • Assist brand manager by participating in the annual marketing plan and identifying KOL planning and utilization across brands
  • Leverages insights from marketing research and customer insights in faculty planning to address market needs
  • Position requires weekend travel at least 12 weekends per year in addition to other travel to be agreed upon with their director
  • Ad Hoc analysis of activity and spending

What you can bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of relevant experience
