Embark on a Table Games Adventure! Join our Dealer Trainee Program and earn while you learn, starting at$15/hr. The excitement kicks off onJanuary 28th, 2025, and runs from Tuesday to Friday for a thrilling 6 weeks. By the end, you'll WOW us at your audition and could land a part-time dealer role at MGM National Harbor.

THE STARTING RATE: $15/HR

ORIENTATION INFORMATION:

Before starting the training on January 28th, there will be a mandatory paid orientation session on Monday, January 27th, 2024, at 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. This is a required step for all candidates and will provide an overview of the program and what to expect.

CLASS TIMES OFFERED:

  • 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • 4:00 pm - 12:00 am

SKILLS OFFERED:

  • Blackjack
  • Roulette

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Learn how to spin the roulette wheel properly, ensuring a fair and random outcome. Practice the smooth technique of spinning the ball and announcing the winning number.
  • Develop your ability to announce winning numbers and colors clearly and confidently to the players.
  • Practice how to interact with players, keep the game moving at a fast pace, and create a fun atmosphere while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Practice making accurate and efficient payouts after each round, based on the different bet types.
  • Familiarize yourself with the security protocols in place for casino games, including how to handle chips and money responsibly.
  • Focus on improving your speed and accuracy with both dealing the game and interacting with players.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent in basic math.
  • Has a strong presence or impressive demeanor.
  • Ability to attend all training classes.
  • Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.
  • Works well under pressure.

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum - Maximum

$15.00 - $21.04

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
