Description
This position will require employees to be at the office one day a week and to be out in the community as required for the position. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Senior Associate Director of Development is responsible for independently managing a portfolio of corporate donors as well as planning and implementing strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward new donors. Will partner with leadership, faculty, and volunteers to develop priorities, initiatives, and cultivation strategies for Children's National. Will assist in planning, implementing and managing a comprehensive corporate engagement and fundraising plan in support of the Race for Every Child as well as corporate fundraising for other key Foundation and institution-wide initiatives. The position carries a responsibility for raising $1-2 million annually in support of department wide $5-6M annual goals. Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Minimum Work Experience 8 years (Required) Required Skills/Knowledge Demonstrated success in closing 5- to 7- figure gifts is necessary, along with a well-developed skills set of prioritizing, focusing and executing strategic fundraising plans. Outstanding verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with donors, volunteers, faculty and staff. Poise, initiative, energy and professional confidence is necessary . A high level of professionalism, compassion, creativity and integrity is required, coupled with an ability to earn the confidence of a wide range of internal and external constituents.
