The Department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences in the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) at Texas Tech University invites applications for a part-time, 12-month, instructor position with the Couple, Marriage, & Family Therapy Program in the Department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences, with an anticipated start date of January 16th, 2025. We welcome all applicants with strong teaching and clinic administration experience.

Ideal candidates will have experience teaching at the graduate level and experience with clinical administration in a community mental health or similar setting. In addition, the ideal candidate will be effective working with clinical faculty, supporting graduate students, and acting as a primary point of contact for members of the public seeking or receiving clinical services at the TTU Family Therapy Clinic. About the Department/School/Area

The mission of the Department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences (CFAS) is to prepare future professionals to enrich the lives of others utilizing a systemic perspective. To this end, the CFAS Department is home to programs specifically focused on empowering students to develop skills in counseling, addiction and recovery, licensed mental health practice, and applying a scientist-practitioner approach to producing meaningful scholarship. The CFAS Department is home to highly regarded programs, including the Counseling and Addiction Recovery Sciences (CARS) undergraduate degree program, master's and doctoral degree programs in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy (CMFT), and a doctoral degree program in Addictive Disorders and Recovery Sciences (ADRS). Major/Essential Functions

During both the Spring academic semester and summer sessions, the part-time instructor will dedicate 10 hours per week to teach one undergraduate or graduate course in the CFAS Department (.25 FTE) and 9.5 hours per week supporting the clinical teaching functions of the FTC.

Faculty Qualifications

1. Earned doctorate in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy.
2. AAMFT Approved Supervisor or AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate.
3. A minimum of two years' experience with college level teaching, preferably at the graduate level.
4. Experience with administrative operations of a community mental health clinic.
5. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and AAMFT ethical guidelines.
6. Demonstrated capacity to support graduate student clinical development and to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
7. Customer service skills to work effectively with members of the public seeking or receiving mental health services.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experiencing writing reports and tracking data needed for clinical grants and contracts.
2. Experience using electronic patient management systems.
3. Competent in the use of word processing and database software.
