Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Summer Ventures Residential Staff is responsible for overseeing the safety and behavior of the Summer Ventures students (ages 16 - 17) in a residential setting. Residential staff must live in the residential hall for the duration of the position. Staff will organize and lead educational, recreational, and life-skill activities for individual and group participation. Residential staff will ensure students adhere to their academic schedules and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the residential hall.
Duties include:
- Supervising students during meals, free time, activities, and transitions on campus.
- Enforcement of the student code of conduct.
- Conflict resolution between students.
- Leading and developing evening programming and recreational activities.
- May be required to supervise and document students taking personal medications.
- Communicating with students, parents, and other staff.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
- Completion of 2 years toward a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR Certification (certification must be obtained by June 16, 2025)
- Valid driver's license

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience |
- Completion of a bachelor's or master's degree
- Experience in completing a research project in STEM.
- Housing and residence life experience involving children or young adults.
