Overview
The Parks Regional Facilities and Logistics Coordinator is a central position to the southeast Vermont State Parks. This multifaceted role involves overseeing the logistical operations and maintenance of Vermont State Parks within a designated region. Key responsibilities include equipment and supply procurement, facility project management, health and safety compliance, contract management, as well as inventory and budget administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and technical skills, as well as an understanding of construction and maintenance practices. This position requires a hands-on approach, as it involves both administrative tasks and field work. Who May Apply
This position,Parks Regional Facilities & Logistics Coordinator (Job Requisition #51703), is open to all State employees and external applicants. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed in office and field settings under all possible environmental conditions, at all times of the year. Significant day-to-day travel within the region is frequently required during the park season. Work is often performed under intense scrutiny of Park users and the general public. Duties and assignments may change significantly over a very short period of time. Incumbents must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, function independently, and supervise other employees. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher AND one (1) year or more of work experience in inventory management, project management, property management, purchasing, logistics, or contract administration and/or park operations, park maintenance, recreation, or conservation field. Special Requirements
