Product Manager - Wealth
Responsible for ensuring assigned product(s) is relevant, sold properly, and is managed to a positive customer experience as it relates to sound infrastructure and integrity levels. Responsible for the management of assigned product(s), including market research, financial analysis, product planning, product development and implementation, and coordination of sales and marketing strategies, objectives, and programs. Product profitability, mitigation of risk, evaluation of product performance and measurement of results are key components of this position. Serve as subject matter expert for suite of products.
Position Responsibilities:
Roadmap Management


  • Serve as a market expert for assigned product(s) through research (internal and external), discovery, validation and customer interactions and presentations, white papers, etc.
  • Define market problems by gathering and analyzing market, customers, non-customers and potential customer information; understanding product, position, competition and SWOT; and through technology assessment and win/loss analysis.
  • Develop solutions through strategic planning, including product roadmap and business plan development; profitability, pricing and positioning assessment; understanding customer buying process, buyer/user personas and use scenarios; develop solution requirements; represent voice of customer throughout requirements, design and development process; ensure solution addresses defined market problem(s) and aligns with solution development.
  • Manage products, monitor product life cycle, and recommend pricing and marketing strategies to improve profitability and/or reduce expense, and to enhance customer retention and acquisition.
  • Define, measure, and manage product risk.
  • Measure assigned product(s) success and communicate results.


Product Promotion/Advocacy


  • Create and own assigned product's market message; participate in development of marketing and advertising programs.
  • Develop training material.
  • Support development of training classes as necessary.
  • Conduct customer, non-customer and prospective customer interviews.
  • Monitor trends and determine customer acceptance of assigned product(s).


Portfolio and Revenue Management


  • Continuously evaluate current economic conditions and advise management of possible impact to assigned products.
  • Ensure profitability, competitive positioning and integration of assigned product(s) into sales planning and Annual Profit Plan.
  • Develop and recommend pricing strategies that will result in meeting product objectives.


Product Initiatives


  • Research/define market problems for assigned product(s); investigate market opportunities and effect of existing products on market; evaluate ideas for new products; make recommendations for economically attractive products.
  • Perform discovery and validation of market problems, including interacting with customers, non-customers and potential customers.
  • Recommend criteria for testing newly developed products and enhancements to existing products -Development and regular review of implementation workflows -Partner with Operations area(s).
  • To ensure appropriate product stability.
  • To ensure an efficient escalation and resolution protocol is in place for production (system/operational) issues and outages.
  • For continuous improvement of production (system/operational) processes.
  • To evaluate/review customer complaints, concerns and suggestions relative to assigned product(s).
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • 4 Yr/Bachelor Degree
  • 7 years experience in Product Management, wealth lending experience preferred

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Salary:

For candidates hired in the state of California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Washington, New York the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently:



  • California - $113,850 - $231,250 Annually
  • Colorado - $99,000 - $185,000 Annually


Salary Range(s) is subject to change. Comerica Bank takes several factors into account when determining individual starting pay. These include but are not limited to position, grade level, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Comerica Bank considers the employer's work location to determine the pay range.
